If you’re tired of being given your opinions, fed up with tabloid culture and no-brainer movies, you’ve got 157 channels and nothing worth watchi …

This group is devoted to the reading of one book: Thus Spoke Zarathustra As a group, i would like us to read the first half of the book, discuss it, then go on to read the second half and discuss that. I will be reading the Cambridge edition, translated by Adrian Del Caro, as i like the style; but the Kaufmann and Hollingdale translations are also good (it might be helpful if the group reads the same translation, but it's not essential). I would also definitely recommend finding a readers guide.
Seeing if there is interest in starting a popular discussion group with meetups for coffee and chats. Could also have walks, country pub meets, events etc. If there is enough interest I could get a blog together...

I've been studying sociology since 2002, finally completing my Ph.D in 2012. During that time, I saw a need for more social groups that bring sociologists together, and allow them to talk about their research and network with other like minded individuals. I found the Ph.D journey to be intellectually fulfilling, but at times rather isolating. So, I've decided to set this group up with the aim of allowing students and academics to come together and talk about their work. This group is open to al …

Where people can get together and discuss his works as well as offering advice or be part of brainstorming sessions for the project that I am on. It can also be for people who are interested in g …
